It is our mission at RideShare to aid commuters in finding better alternatives to driving alone and in preserving our environment. We are delighted you are joining us in this endeavor.

• ACCT (Alliance for Community Choice in Transportation) distributes a free Regional Mobility Map for greater Charlottesville and maintains a calendar of upcoming transportation-related meetings and events. ACCT promotes balanced transportation options, sustainable land-use and transit-oriented communities through education and leadership in the greater Charlottesville area.
• Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS) is the public bus service for the City of Charlottesville and portions of urban Albemarle County.
• JAUNT provides on-demand bus service and scheduled commuter shuttles in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa and Nelson.
• Greene County Transit (GCT) provides on-demand bus service within Greene County.
• National Center for Bicycling & Walking is a non-profit corporation with a mission to create bicycle-friendly and walkable communities.
• Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission's (TJPDC) transportation pages contain information on local and regional transportation plans for the city of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Greene, Nelson, Fluvanna and Louisa. The TJPDC is also home for the RideShare program.
• University Transit Systems (UTS) provides free bus service in and around the University of Virginia.
• Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) focuses on improving the movement of people and goods throughout Virginia via rail, public transportation and ridesharing. DRPT is the home for programs that provide for traffic congestion, including commuter rail and telecommuting.
• Virginia Department of Transportation's Bicycling Info Site is a great site for the official work on bike trails, events, maps, and laws.
• Victoria Transport Policy Institute is a pre-eminent think tank for innovative and practical solutions to transportation problems, and their website provides a variety of transportation policy and planning resources free.
